State of The Fitness Field:
The sad truth is that in most cases, it takes little more than a high school diploma and to pass a "comprehensive fitness exam" to become "qualified" to take someone's fitness and TRUST into your hands.
Unfortunately, the worldwide marketplace of fitness and personal training is flooded with "professionals" touting expertise in the field of exercise and performance with little in the way of formal education and training to back up this claim.
It is plain to see that most "fitness professionals" see the
improvement of the human body as merely a hobby and "something to do on the
side" in order to make some extra money or gain a free gym membership. The current market for personal training services does make this field a
lucrative one and can attract undesirable professional trainers.
This may be the most convincing argument as to the need
seek out the most highly qualified professional to help you meet your fitness
needs. Personal Training, Wellness Coaching, Fitness Consulting are all
euphemisms for a similar job. Few see the field in this way and the importance
it holds in not only how we look but how we feel and function.
The biggest difference between Pro Motion L & P and the majority of 'pseudo-professional trainers' is that human performance, fitness and health are what we have studied, worked and lived for over a decade. We urge those who are serious about their fitness goals to do their research, check references and Contact Us.
